Welcome John McLean Wood

I am very excited to announce the arrival of John McLean Wood! He was born at 9:01 pm on April 22. He was 21 inches long and weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. He is a bruiser next to the neighboring babies in the nursery! Dell had some blood pressure issues (Really-Jimmy's Daughter??) but is now doing fine. John McLean has some fluid on his lungs but is getting better everyday! He is now off of the "puffs of oxygen" to help expand his lungs and we are hoping Dell will get to feed him a bottle this morning. He has had a feeding tube so that he can focus on slowing down his breathing, but hopefully he will be learning to suck, swallow, and breath today!! Dell will be discharged on Saturday, but John McLean seems to like the staff at Candler and will probably stay through the weekend. We are very excited that he is here and that both Mama and baby are recovering nicely now!! (I think we may storm the nursery doors if they do not allow us to love on him soon!) Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes! Enjoy his pictures!! He is PRECIOUS!!!!

Will's Birthday Party

We have had some very exciting weekends lately! Here are pics of Will's Birthday party in the back yard. He wanted all of his friends to come to our house to jump on his new trampoline. Thanks to everyone for all the great fun and presents! We had a blast!

Opening Day

Saturday was the opening day for Baseball on St Simons. This is Will's first year with the pitching machine. WHAT A LEAP FROM COACH PITCH!!! We are very proud to report that Will went 2 for 2. Despite the valiant effort, his team came up short with a score of 2 to 1. Will is number 11 for Ratel Communications (Navy Blue) He stopped a ball from escaping past third into the outfield and in the second inning he played first base. There are pics of all the guys on his team and several other kids from school. You should be able to pick him out though. (He is not wearing batting gloves) We are looking forward to a gnat-filled season of Glynn County baseball. Go Ratel!
