Happy Halloween!!

Did The Dawgs Really Lose???

The DAWGS suffered a humiliating loss to Florida during Halloween weekend. There is no denying that. However, ask Bryce if it slowed our party down. We were going strong when the men folk limped slowly home from Jacksonville! Go Bryce! Sic em! Woof Woof Woof!!

And to our beloved Bulldogs...We still LOVE you! Hunker down for the rest of the season!

Getting Ready for Halloween

Photo and video editing at www.OneTrueMedia.com

We had a very busy weekend getting ready for Halloween! We started out with the Fall Festival at the boy's school. Although it poured down rain, no one minded it being moved inside. We also enjoyed spending Sunday evening at the Jacksonville Zoo for "Spooktacular"! It was very fun and better than we imagined. They really do a great job. Will and Bryce had a great time. A new addition that we had never seen before were the trolls in the zoo. They were the scariest part. Especially since one woke up and came after Bryce! We are now officially ready for a very exciting week of Halloween and GEORGIA Football! GO DAWGS!!!!!!!

Soccer begins and Cancer Society Run

Will started Soccer this year. We have had 3 games and the "Hurricanes" have a record of 2-1. We are playing over on Jekyll and it has been a wonderful experience so far! GISA does a great job with the kids. We are very excited about the season and will keep everyone informed.

Bryce ran the 1 mile run to benefit the Cancer Society. He loves doing these now and he gets VERY excited! We were very proud of him. He won the award for the youngest to finish the race. One mile does not seem like it is that far, but his little legs got quite a workout! I think if we could keep him from talking constantly while running, he may not get so winded! He did a great job!

Bryce's Big Swimming Day

We were so proud of Bryce. We knew he could do it but he was not so sure! He has had a death grip on his swim vest all summer long but he is swimming like a fish now. He is also diving to the bottom (of the shallow end) for fish! Pre K has done wonders...and in only 3 days. We will be brilliant by the end of the year!

First Day of School

Welcome Back to School...

Wednesday was the first day of school for Will and Bryce. Will started the 2nd grade and Bryce started in Pre Kindergarten. I cannot believe how big they are getting! Will is an old pro at Oglethorpe Point Elementary School, as this is where he has been for the past 3 years. Bryce was very excited and walked in like he owned the place! He did not understand why some of the other kids were crying and I think it (secretly) made him a little nervous! He was such a BIG BOY and Mama and Daddy were exceptionally proud.

The Garrison Gang Visit

Make an on-line slideshow at www.OneTrueMedia.com

We were so excited to have Mark, Leigh, Marleigh, and Mason join us for a few days! Although the weather could have been better, we really had a blast. Marleigh and Mason are as precious as they can be and we miss them already. The montage looks a little like "The Marleigh Show", but for anyone who has ever been around her- you know that you just cannot get enough of that smile! It is always fun to see kids try things for the first time. She loved the slide and was very excited about the beach! Thank you guys for making the long trip down! (And Mark, the even longer trip home!! ha ha)

Beach Photo Shoot...OH MY!!!!

So...We have tried the whole professional photographer thing to no avail. I think I must have the most difficult children in the world to photograph! We decided to try a few ourselves since we live right in one the most beautiful natural settings. These are some of the shots...

We were able to get some cute pictures, but any photographer in his right mind would have long since given up...

And missed the opportunity for my favorite shot of the afternoon...

Being Thankful!!

These are just some pictures of the boys enjoying Mimi and Papa's pool on Mother's Day. I think sometimes I get so busy thinking of what we "have to do tonight" that I forget to slow down and enjoy. Between school programs, baseball games, practices, and the everyday stuff, I feel like there is not enough time in the week. I just have to keep reminding myself to slow down and enjoy these moments that make up our life. I was looking at these pictures and also the pics from Will's game and realize how much I do have to be thankful for! I just need to take time to enjoy life the way the boys do!! I am so proud of my boys and just wanted to post some of these pics for everyone to see!

Congratulations Emily and John!!!

We are so proud of our graduates!! Not cum laude but OH MY LAWDIE!!!

Field Trip to Sea Island Stables

Will's class took a field trip to the new Sea Island Stables. They learned a lot of general information about caring for horses. They got to tour each of the barns and also see what they eat and how to keep them healthy. The boys were very excited to see a new addition to the stables...a three foot alligator named Steve! After touring the stables, the kids pretended to be horses and spent some time jumping the jumps. They also had guides that led them through games and relays. Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was a treat to get to see the new stables!

Welcome John McLean Wood

I am very excited to announce the arrival of John McLean Wood! He was born at 9:01 pm on April 22. He was 21 inches long and weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. He is a bruiser next to the neighboring babies in the nursery! Dell had some blood pressure issues (Really-Jimmy's Daughter??) but is now doing fine. John McLean has some fluid on his lungs but is getting better everyday! He is now off of the "puffs of oxygen" to help expand his lungs and we are hoping Dell will get to feed him a bottle this morning. He has had a feeding tube so that he can focus on slowing down his breathing, but hopefully he will be learning to suck, swallow, and breath today!! Dell will be discharged on Saturday, but John McLean seems to like the staff at Candler and will probably stay through the weekend. We are very excited that he is here and that both Mama and baby are recovering nicely now!! (I think we may storm the nursery doors if they do not allow us to love on him soon!) Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes! Enjoy his pictures!! He is PRECIOUS!!!!

Will's Birthday Party

We have had some very exciting weekends lately! Here are pics of Will's Birthday party in the back yard. He wanted all of his friends to come to our house to jump on his new trampoline. Thanks to everyone for all the great fun and presents! We had a blast!

Opening Day

Saturday was the opening day for Baseball on St Simons. This is Will's first year with the pitching machine. WHAT A LEAP FROM COACH PITCH!!! We are very proud to report that Will went 2 for 2. Despite the valiant effort, his team came up short with a score of 2 to 1. Will is number 11 for Ratel Communications (Navy Blue) He stopped a ball from escaping past third into the outfield and in the second inning he played first base. There are pics of all the guys on his team and several other kids from school. You should be able to pick him out though. (He is not wearing batting gloves) We are looking forward to a gnat-filled season of Glynn County baseball. Go Ratel!
